Tell the dev team

Tell the dev team is the built-in way to report a bug, request a feature, or send a note without leaving Roadmap Flow.

What it does

The feedback dialog lets you choose the kind of note, write the message, leave an optional email for a reply, and attach one optional screenshot.

You can also include basic app info: app version, plan, screen size, platform, and an anonymous account reference. Roadmap content is not sent.

If your network blocks the feedback endpoint, Roadmap Flow offers a prefilled email draft so the note can still reach support. It is not glamorous, but it is better than watching a spinner pretend everything is fine.

When to use it

  • A flow is broken, confusing, or harder than it should be.
  • You have a concrete feature request.
  • You need to contact the dev team about billing, activation, or a support question.
  • A screenshot would explain the problem faster than a paragraph.

When not to use it

  • For roadmap content you do not want to share. Keep the message focused on the issue, not the strategy.
  • For urgent company support channels that your organization already requires you to use.

3-minute flow

  1. Click Feedback on the canvas or Send feedback in Account.
  2. Pick Report a bug, Request a feature, or Contact the dev team.
  3. Write the note.
  4. Add your email if you want a reply.
  5. Attach a screenshot only if it helps and you are comfortable sharing it.
  6. Leave Include basic app info on unless you have a reason not to.
  7. Send the note, or use the email fallback if your network blocks the endpoint.

Best use cases

  • UI bugs where a screenshot makes the problem obvious.
  • Feature requests tied to a real workflow.
  • Billing or activation questions where a reply would help.

Common mistakes

  • Sending sensitive roadmap details in the message. The app does not send roadmap content automatically, but anything you type or attach is sent.
  • Forgetting the email field when you want a reply.
  • Assuming a failed network send means the note is lost. Use the email fallback.
